First Look at the CS PRO
The Moza CS Pro Steering Wheel was just unveiled a few days ago, and we lucky employees at TracksVR have received one for testing! Right away we can tell Moza is leaning further into the premium GT wheel space with this release, challenging other big names in the sim racing world.
After our testing, we have to say it is a great upgrade to the previous CS V2P Steering Wheel, and we were happy to get to try it out!
Build and Feel
Right out of the box, the CS Pro feels solid and well put together. The materials feel premium, and the microfiber leather grips are very comfortable during longer sessions. The CS Pro features a large 325mm rim, slightly smaller than the 330mm rim from the CS V2P, and carbon-fibre construction ensuring it feels as solid as a real race car steering wheel.
On top of that, the high definition dashboard display is fully customizable through Moza Pit House, allowing you to drive with exactly the info you need. Overall it feels like a wheel designed for serious racing, not just showing off on a rig.
Buttons and Controls
One of the biggest upgrades from the CS V2P to the new CS Pro are the additional inputs the CS Pro gives you to work with. More buttons, more rotary encoders, and a layout that feels cleaner and more intentional. Everything is easier to reach, even in the middle of a race, without that feeling of being crowded. In total, the wheel has 8 RGB buttons on the front, 4 twelve-position rotary encoders, 2 thumb encoders, 2 funky 7-way switches and 2 rear buttons.
Paddle Shifters
The shifters have a firm, satisfying click that feels precise every time. Made of magnetic forged carbon, they don't feel mushy or vague. Instead they provide a nice, tactile feel that leaves you confident with each gear change. If paddle feel matters to you, this is an area where the CS Pro delivers. There is also an upgrade kit that gives you an additional two paddle shifters at the top of the wheel, perfect for those who like to activate functions such as DRS, KERS and more via paddles.
Dashboard display
The dashboard display is one of the biggest differences between the CS Pro and the older CS V2P. The CS Pro adds a 2.99 inch built-in screen right on the wheel that shows key info like gear, RPM, and lap data. It puts important information directly in your line of sight, reducing the need to rely on on-screen HUD elements or extra displays.
Using the previously released CS V2P, all race information was displayed either through the simulator or on an external screen. This worked fine, but the CS Pro’s display feels like a natural upgrade, especially for modern GT racing. It is clear, easy to read, and adds a more immersive, cockpit-style feel without being distracting. It is also fully customizable through Moza's Pit House software, allowing you to create, share and download other drivers' dashboard designs. The one downside to the display is it is NOT SimHub compatible - you are only able to edit the dashboard using Moza's software.
Early Thoughts
Since this wheel is brand new, these are early impressions, but the CS Pro already feels like a huge addition to the Moza lineup. It builds upon the features of the CS V2P to make a great wheel even better, giving sim racers another option when searching for round GT style wheels.
