HOW IT STARTED
Searching for a way to combine his love of cars, racing, and virtual reality, Howard Trawick envisioned a venue that would share that same love and passion with people in the Calgary area.
In May 2018, TracksVR opened for the first time putting experienced racers, and new comers to the sport, behind the wheel for a truly immersive experience.
In 2019, we expanded our vision to bring the racing to the customer and began building turnkey racing simulator solutions, bringing the excitement of a professional racing setup into their own homes. From complete simulator builds to carefully selected hardware and peripherals, we began making immersive sim racing more accessible to enthusiasts everywhere.
When COVID-19 brought significant changes to the world, we saw an opportunity to adapt and grow. We pivoted into retail, expanding our offerings to include sim racing peripherals, equipment, and Formula 1 merchandise. What started as a way to keep our passion for motorsports alive during an uncertain time evolved into a major part of our business. Today, TracksVR has grown to become Western Canada's largest Formula 1 retailer, serving racing fans and sim racing enthusiasts across the region and beyond.
Through every chapter, our mission has remained the same: to share our passion for racing, bring people closer to the sport they love, and create experiences that inspire the next generation of motorsports enthusiasts.
HOW IT'S GOING
What started as a passion for virtual reality and motorsports has grown into much more than a racing venue. Today, TracksVR is a leading provider of racing simulators, mobile entertainment, corporate activations, and motorsports retail across Canada.
We've delivered over 500 turnkey racing simulator systems to customers and organizations across the country, including Ferrari of Alberta, the University of Calgary, Bow Valley College, and the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame. From home simulator setups to commercial installations and custom projects, we help bring professional sim racing experiences to life.
We've also taken our simulators on the road, delivering mobile events and activations at some of Canada's most recognized venues, including the Calgary Stampede, BMO Centre, Bow Tower, Fairmont Banff Springs, Fairmont Golf Banff, and Fairmont properties in Toronto. Along the way, we've worked with companies like Shell, Ferrari of Alberta, Deloitte, and many more to create unique racing experiences for corporate events, group bookings, private functions, and large-scale activations.
Alongside our simulator business and events, we've continued to grow our retail offerings, becoming Western Canada's largest Formula 1 retailer. We carry a wide range of F1 merchandise, racing collectibles, simulator equipment, and peripherals for fans and enthusiasts alike.
From hosting groups at our Calgary venue to building simulators and bringing racing experiences across the country, we're proud of how far TracksVR has come and excited for what's ahead.
